The Buoyancy Micro Lure Series Rods were developed for anglers who love to throw the lightest of lures and bait. Built in the USA by Master Builder Jake Brewer and anchored on a premium modulus carbon blank. This combination gives maximum strength and feather weight. Buoyancy rods are works of art that can relay the lightest hits and yet fight the biggest fish. Only using the best components, it has titanium guides with the hardest zirconian inserts, Fuji SK2 reel seats, and a unique carbon fiber split grip that will give an incredible feel without slip. The Buoyancy's style is in a class of its own. Inspired by our wildly popular SEAL Legacy rod, the Buoyancy is wrapped in Blue & Gold with anodized gold accents. Insanely light and designed for all-day sight and precision strike casting, Buoyancy is a serious weapon for the fight.

Perfect for me in a kayak. Lightweight and strong! I throw only lures and it saves on fatigue on my elbow and shoulders. Don’t highstick it and it won’t break.
I made a change from the 7' to 6'6" the day of the order and got a confirmation email that the change was made. I received the rod a short time later and it was the 7' rod. I shipped the rod back and asked for a confirmation of receipt and a courtesy email when the 6'6" was shipped and I haven't heard back.. except for a review request for the 7' rod.. that was sent back.
I am not mad or disappointed with the rod or company for that matter. Just confused as to whether Old 18 received and/or shipped the rods.

Super light and strong Rod! You feel every tap!
quick delivery, great looking rod. Definitely a light rod even for being medium light..
I just picked up two of these rods a couple of weeks ago. Out of the box they looked great and felt great in the hand, still do. However, the first day out on the water I was very disappointed with the lack of sensitivity. I have a Hallow Point and a Ballistic rod from Old18 and love them a lot and expected the same great product. Unfortunately, out of all of my other similarly priced rods from several different brands, these two Ascent rods are the least sensitive rods on my boat and I’m not quite sure what to think about that, as I had really high expectations of them. You live, you learn I guess.
Excellent rod for almost any bass fishing application. Very sensitive tip with plenty of backbone. Well done.
I finally had a chance to use this rod today. After dragging lures through some weeds, it is easy to tell the difference between a light bite VS snagging up on some weeds. I hate setting the hook on salad. Love the rod. It brought in seven decent northern pike today.
